Instant Abs, Calves & Conditioning
A Common Exercise With Multiple Fitness Benefits
Here's a way to cut down on the length of your workouts. Do total body exercises that exercise many parts of the body and several aspects of fitness at once. You can kill two birds with one stone.
Below I'll share with you one such exercise. I've started doing it about a month ago and am addicted to it.
My Lightning Speed Fitness Program consists of several other powerful full body exercises such as the one I'm sharing with you in this article. These full body exercises allow you to get in the best shape in the least amount of time.
This tip is from post number 250 of the Member's Only Forum of the Lightning Speed Fitness Program. The forum is loaded with exercise tips and techniques in addition to the main Lightning Speed Exercises.

* Instant Abs, Calves & Conditioning *
I wanted to share with you one simple exercise you can do to get in great shape and build rock solid abs at the same time.
Recently in post # 219 I shared with you a great technique to build up your abs while doing other daily activities.
I had to stop doing this for a while because I pulled a muscle in my back after a soccer game. My abdominal squeezing technique was hurting my back so I needed to stop using it until the back muscles healed.
So I forgot about doing my ab exercises. In the meantime my abs softened up quite a bit.
I started something new. I started jumping rope fairly intensely. I'd do 500 to 750 jumps in one session.
Not only did this exercise improve my fitness, not only did it build up the explosiveness and size of my calf muscles but I was amazed to notice how rock solid my abs felt after a couple of days of doing this.
Keep in mind I wasn't doing any specific abdominal exercises.
Each jump requires you to hold in your abs quite tightly but I didn't even realize I was working out my abs and core at the same time.
So if you want a great all around exercise to add to your routine, I'd suggest jumping rope.
One thing that happened to me with the rope jumping is that I got very sore shins. So I rested a couple of days and now I try to jump rope on soft surfaces like a carpet or mat. That has worked much better.
I jump with both legs at a time, I also alternate and sometimes I just jump with one leg at a time. I find this to be the hardest.
This is great for developing your calf muscles and your jumping ability.
Let me know if you try jumping rope or if you already use it regularly. It can get your heart rate up really high. I usually do just 100 to 150 or so at a time before I have to stop.
This is more anaerobic conditioning than aerobic. Both are important to total fitness.

I hope you enjoyed this post and consider adding rope jumping to your exercise regimen.
